DIG 2.0 -- Towards a Flexible Interface for Description Logic Reasoners
نویسندگان
چکیده
The DIG Interface provides an implementation-neutral mechanism for accessing Description Logic reasoner functionality. At a high level the interface consists of XML messages sent to the reasoner over HTTP connections, with the reasoner responding as appropriate. Key changes in the current version (DIG 2.0) include support for OWL 1.1 and well-defined mechanisms for extensions to the basic interface.

DIG 2.0 Reference Middleware
The DIG interface defines a protocol for the communication of Description Logic (DL) applications. The current DIG 1.1 specification has some shortcomings, which gave rise to the definition of its successor DIG 2.0. In this paper, we introduce the DIG 2.0 Reference Middleware. It allows for the integration of applications that comply with any of the two language versions. In addition to a langu...

متن کاملThe DIG Description Logic Interface: DIG/1.0
This document describes a simple API for a general description logic system. This forms the first of a number of such specifications. Later versions will introduce more higher-level functionality. The current, Level 0 specification provides basic access to the reasoning capabilities of a DL reasoner.

متن کاملTowards Real Time Ontology Editing
Recently there has been substantial development of OWL ontology engineering tools. Such tools typically come equipped with fully functional Description Logic (DL) reasoners, as both OWL-Lite and OWL-DL are formally aligned with Description Logics. One main limitation of editors is that the underlying reasoners cannot be continuously turned on while editing large, expressive ontologies, due to t...
